In an effort to continue to connect students to the workforce, Weston McEwen High School sent all Juniors on a Job Shadow Day, during the week of December 11th . A job shadow is a one time event, where students visit a local business, to gain a hands-on learning experience. The event aims to equip students with valuable insights and opportunities to kickstart their professional journey. Job shadowing is a great way for students to network with industry partners and learn more about a career path for their future endeavors. A huge thank you to the following businesses for taking time out of their busy schedules to host our students and educate them on their career field! We appreciate you going above and beyond to make it a fantastic experience for WMHS students. If you are 17 and younger, please swing by the office to pick up a permission slip--you must have a permission slip to give blood! Additionally, you must have a picture ID (license) or something that shows your birthdate @ check-in. Each pint of blood saves one life and the need is great! Please help! Weston McEwen High School is seeking Community Support to offer Job shadowing opportunities for all Junior aged students Dec. 11, 12 or 13th. WMHS School to Careers is excited to announce its initiative to provide invaluable job shadowing experience for its Junior aged students and is reaching out to area businesses and professionals for support. Job shadowing is an exceptional way for high school students to gain real-world instincts in various careers, allowing them to explore their interests and passions before making important career decisions. WMHS School to Careers is seeking local business and organizations willing to open their doors to hosting our students for a one day Job shadow experience, on Dec. 11, 12th or 13th, for 2-4 hours for 2-3 students per job site. The involvement from the community plays a vital role in shaping the future workforce and inspiring young minds to pursue their career aspirations.
