
Columbia River Dairy in Boardman, Oregon hosted WMHS Animal Science students for a learning tour on their farm. Students got to experience a diary that milks 36,000 cows, see live births, and learn about their farming and irrigation program. This farm offers scholarships of $10,000 for its interns and pays them for summer work. Thank you for this wonderful learning opportunity!

Weston McEwen High School is seeking Community Support to offer Job shadowing opportunities for all Junior aged students Dec. 11, 12 or 13th.
WMHS School to Careers is excited to announce its initiative to provide invaluable job shadowing experience for its Junior aged students and is reaching out to area businesses and professionals for support. Job shadowing is an exceptional way for high school students to gain real-world instincts in various careers, allowing them to explore their interests and passions before making important career decisions.
WMHS School to Careers is seeking local business and organizations willing to open their doors to hosting our students for a one day Job shadow experience, on Dec. 11, 12th or 13th, for 2-4 hours for 2-3 students per job site. The involvement from the community plays a vital role in shaping the future workforce and inspiring young minds to pursue their career aspirations.

NHS has a basic necessities drive. Donations can be dropped off at the office.

For $1 you can send a stocking full of Santa's treats or Grinch's tricks. You can purchase yours beginning December 4. They will be delivered December 19th.

Our annual Canned Food Drive starts today. This year all donations will be split and sent to the Food Pantries in local areas. We will have class baskets that all your food will go into in Mrs. Reeder's room. The Monday before break whichever class that has the most food in their basket will win a Pizza Party for lunch the day we get out for Christmas Break. Also, for every item you bring in you will get a raffle ticket put into a drawing to win a prize, we will draw 4 winners at the assembly the last day before winter break. The awards will consist of gift cards to different places around our area. The more non-perishable food you bring the more entries you get in to win these gift cards.

Weston-McEwen High School got another win this weekend and will continue for the 2A State Title.
This Saturday the 25th, they have a rematch with Lowell at Hillsboro Stadium. Game time is 2pm. Hillsboro Stadium will be charging $5 for parking and we are asked to enter through Gate B.
The football team will have a community pep rally this Friday at 8:45 in the gym followed by a 9am send off down Main Street. We want to welcome everyone to attend and thank our local fire and rescues for there escort!
Please remember , OSAA has rules about signs. Nothing bigger then 8 x 11 please. They will ask you to leave it with them at the ticket gate if you try to bring it in.
