Roaring 20s, art deco, gold and black, feathers and glamour are what ASB students at Weston-McEwen High School are hoping to evoke at their Great Gatsby-themed Prom on Saturday, April 20^th. The event is from 8 to 11 PM at the Adams Schoolhouse. The Prom is open to all high school students, freshmen through seniors.

Halle, WMHS Junior and chair of the Prom Committee for ASB, said the organizers are excited about the theme this year. How did they choose it? Halle said honestly, she was tired of the same themes they had been having, so she went on Pinterest to get some new ideas.

For Prom, the WMHS foods class is providing refreshments, which will be charcuterie boards and cupcakes. Soft drinks and Italian sodas will also be served. The committee has hired a DJ from Pendleton with a list of suggested music from students.

The most exciting new thing is a Photo Booth which provides the Polaroid photo strips for students to take home. “We have unlimited prints, so we hope this will be really fun for lots of students to enjoy,” Halle said.

ASB expects at least 150 students to attend. Tickets are $15 each and available for purchase at the high school office during lunch April 15 – 19.

ASB and the high school thank Austin and Peyton Burns for donating use of the Adams Schoolhouse as the Prom venue.

Monday- Wear your PJ's and slippers

• Seniors: Thousand Island ( dress tropical) 

• Juniors: Ranch ( dress western)

• Sophomores: Italian dressing ( wear red, green, and white, mustache) 

• Freshman: Cesar Dressing ( wear white and gold)
