Announcements for Tuesday, Novemeber 21

ASB Officers: there will be an officer meeting today at the beginning of lunch in the library.

FFA is having a canned food drive to help families in need for the holidays. Please help our community by donating non-perishable food to the office or ag room. The class that turns in the most food will earn an hour-long lunch.

Tomorrow students will be released at 11:40 to start Thanksgiving break. Lunch will still be served at the regular time for those who would like to eat at school.

What's Cookin'

Today’s lunch will be turkey gravy and mashed potatoes.

Athletics

There will be a meeting in Mr. White’s room at 3:10 for any students not currently playing a sport and interested in conditioning or weight lifting for track.

There will be a softball open gym tonight in the Weston lower gym at 7.

Football, cheerleading and cross country pictures are available in the office.

If you are playing basketball, please be sure all of your paperwork is turned in and your fees are paid as soon as possible.

Fun Fact of the Day

There will be an NHS lunch meeting tomorrow in Mrs. McIntyre’s room. The Softball team will be having a meeting right after school on Thursday in Mr. Griggs’ room.

There will be a Strategy Night tomorrow at 6 pm in the library. A guest speaker will be coming to talk about tips and strategies for students going off to college and their parents.

Tickets for the Boys’ Basketball game on December 20th in the Moda Center before the Blazers game are still available. The deadline for purchasing is November 20th.

Volleyball pictures are available in the office.

The cheerleading awards banquet will be held in the Commons tonight at 6 o’clock.

The Girls’ Basketball team will have a parent meeting on Thursday at 6 pm.

We are located in the town of Athena, Oregon. Families residing in Athena, Weston, and the surrounding geographical area attend our school district. We are a school of 165 students and athletically will compete in the Blue Mountain Conference.
